【摘要】:TheformulaespecifiedinthisInternationalStandardareintendedfortheestablishmentofauniformlyacceptablemethodforcalculatingthepittingresistanceandbendingstrengthcapacityfortheenduranceofthemain-propulsionandauxiliarygearsofships,offshorevesselsanddrillingrigs,havingstraightorhelicalteethandsubjecttotherulesofclassificationsocieties.TheratingformulaeinthisInternationalStandardarenotapplicabletoothertypesofgeartoothdeterioration,suchasplasticyielding,micropitting,scuffing,casecrushing,weldingandwear,andarenotapplicableundervibratoryconditionswheretheremaybeanunpredictableprofilebreakdown.Thebendingstrengthformulaeareapplicabletofracturesatthetoothfillet,butarenotapplicabletofracturesonthetoothworkingprofilesurfaces,failureofthegearrim,orfailuresofthegearblankthroughwebandhub.ThisInternationalStandarddoesnotapplytoteethfinishedbyforgingorsintering.Thisstandardisnotapplicabletogearshavingapoorcontactpattern.ThisInternationalStandardprovidesamethodbywhichdifferentgeardesignscanbecompared.Itisnotintendedtoassuretheperformanceofassembleddrivegearsystems.Itisnotintendedforusebythegeneralengineeringpublic.Instead,itisintendedforusebytheexperiencedgeardesignerwhoiscapableofselectingreasonablevaluesforthefactorsintheseformulaebasedonknowledgeofsimilardesignsandawarenessoftheeffectsoftheitemsdiscussed.WARNING—TheuseriscautionedthatthecalculatedresultsofthisInternationalStandardshouldbeconfirmedbyexperience.
