【摘要】:Oneofthefactorsaffectingtheperformanceprovidedbyacementitioustreatmentishowreadilywatervaporpassesthroughit.Hence,thewatervaportransmissioncharacteristicsoftreatmentsareimportantinassessingtheirperformanceinpracticaluse.Thepurposeofthistestmethodistoobtainvaluesofwatervaportransferthroughtreatmentsthatrangeinpermeabilityfromhightolow.Thesevaluesareforuseindesign,manufacture,andmarketing.Watervaportransmissionisnotalinearfunctionoffilmthickness,temperatureorrelativehumidity.Valuesofwatervaportransmissionrate(WVT)andwatervaporpermeance(WVP)canbeusedintherelativeratingoftreatmentsonlyifthetreatmentsaretestedunderthesamecloselycontrolledconditionsoftemperatureandrelativehumidity.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftherateatwhichwatervaporpassesthroughnonfilmformingtreatments,suchassilanes,siloxanesandblendsofsilanes/siloxanesappliedtocementitioussubstrates.1.2Thistestmethodcoverstheuseofthewetcuptechnique,whichmostcloselyapproachestheexteriorconditionsforuseforthesematerials.Otherconditionscanbeusedifagreeduponbetweenpurchaserandsupplier.Agreementshouldnotbeexpectedbetweenresultsobtainedbydifferentmethodsortestconditions.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsofmeasurementaredesignatedasthestandard.Factorsforconversiontoinch-poundunitsaregivenin9.2.1.1and9.2.2.1.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
