【摘要】:Briquettesofgranularcokepreparedinaccordancewiththelaboratoryproceduresofthispracticewillhaveflat,scratch-freesurfacessuitableforexaminationwithamicroscopeusingreflectedlightillumination.Thepolishedsurfaceofbriquettespreparedusingthispracticewillcontainparticlesrepresentativeoftheoriginalgrosssample.Samplespreparedbythispracticeareusedformicroscopicaldeterminationofthetexturalcomponentsincoke(seeTestMethodD5061).1.1Thispracticecoverslaboratoryproceduresforthepreparationofgranularsamplesofcokeforexaminationwithareflectedlightmicroscope.Thesamplespreparedareusedforidentifyingandquantifyingthetexturalcomponentsincoke.Thispracticedoesnotapplytothepreparationoforientedlumpspecimensofcokeforstructuralanalysis.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
