【摘要】:1.1GeneralThisstandardcoversthespecificationandmeasurementofout-of-roundnessofasurfaceofrevolutionbytheevaluationofatypicalcross-sectionalprofileintermsofitsradialdeviationsfromadefinedcenter.Whilethisstandarddealsprimarilywithprecisionspindleinstrumentsforout-of-roundnessmeasurementandpolarchartpresentation,itisnottheintentheretoexcludeothermethodswhichwillprovidevalidradialdeviationdata.Thisstandarddoesnotdefinethedesignrequirementsforroundnesssuitableforspecificpurposes,nordoesitspecifythemanufacturingprocessforproductionofroundness.1.2AppendixSectionsThecomplexityofroundnessmeasurementshasnecessitatedthepublicationofaseriesofAppendixsectionswhichdescribeotherout-of-roundnessindicationmethods,theirapplicationsandlimitations.Othergeneralinformationandspecificexamplesofout-ofroundnessmeasurementmaybefoundintheAppendix,whichthereaderisurgedtostudy.TheAppendixsectionsshallnotbeconsideredapartofthisstandard.
