【摘要】:ThispartofIEC61282providesdefinitionsofdispersionpenaltyandotherrelatedpenalties.ItdescribesthedirectmeasurementofthesepenaltiesusingaBERtestsetandthecalculationofthepenaltiesfromtime-resolvedchirp(TRC)data.AnnexAprovidesthetheoryforpowerpenaltycalculations.Thecalculationsarevalidforalltypesofsinglelongitudinalmode(SLM)lasertransmittersintendedforuseintelecommunicationsapplicationsatdataratesof2,5Gbit/sandhigherwithNRZmodulationformat.TheseincludebutarenotlimitedtodirectlymodulatedDFBlasers,DFBlaserswithintegratedelectro-absorptionmodulators,andDFBlaserswithexternalMach-Zehndermodulators.Thistechniqueisnotsuitableformultiplelongitudinalmode(MLM)lasersorLEDs.Chromaticdispersioninducedpowerpenaltyvaluesinthistechnicalreportarecharacteristicsofthetransmitter,whichisconsideredtobethedevice-under-test(DUT).Otherpowerpenaltysources,suchasnonlineareffectsandamplifiernoisearenotcoveredbythisdocument.Sincedispersionpenaltyforatransmissionlinkdependsonthetransmitter,receiverandfibre,thedispersionpenaltyparameterforatransmitterisbasedonaspecifiedfibredispersionandreceivercharacteristic,whichshouldbereportedwiththetestresults.
